That sector is none other than digital. Digital and its positive knock-on effects The digital sector is a growth driver that leads to synergies in other sectors. A 1% increase in the digitization of the economy drives a 0.5% rise in GDP and a 2% expansion in global trade, while a 10% increase knocks the unemployment  rate down by 0.9%(1).
