Yet social dialogue is the sine qua non of a social market economy that works[1]. Social dialogue has an essential role to play in agreeing national and European reforms, as well as appropriate policy mixes. The European Commission has therefore committed to giving new momentum to social dialogue, 30 years after Val Duchesse.
