At a time when Europe is facing heightened energy price volatility, massive investment needs, and growing geopolitical and climate-related constraints, this event will bring together European policymakers, regulators, institutional representatives, and key energy stakeholders to discuss how to secure a resilient, affordable, and sustainable energy system for European citizens and businesses.
The symposium will focus on the critical challenge of financing and governing energy infrastructure in Europe. Two high-level roundtables will address, respectively, investment needs in electricity transmission and distribution grids, and the development of gas and carbon-free gas infrastructures essential for the deployment of biomethane and hydrogen. These discussions will be complemented by presentations of Confrontations Europe’s latest work on energy solidarity and affordable energy, offering concrete perspectives to inform European policy choices.
